About
Knot on Hands is a partneracrobatic circus trio created by Britt Timmermans, Mario Kunzi and Tijs Bastiaens. Formed in 2017, they strive to take partner acrobatics into a new direction, where the main focus lies on the physicality between the three bodies. Here they find their common ground, from which point they work to create innovative circus pieces. flexi nullus.
Brace for Impact
In Brace for Impact three acrobats search for the limits of balance.
In their quest of an equilibrium they find new ways of moving forward and travelling through space. On their journey they explore each other’s (im) possibilities and find out what it means to put all their weight in someone else’s hands.
PASSING BY
PASSING BY is a site specific performance where three partner acrobats take the audience on a journey through the(ir) city. With their movement vocabulary that is focussed on creating an organic and flowing way of partner acrobatics they move over the city stairs, walls, edges and corners.
CONCRETE
Three movement stories as a as a perpetual motion
Three athletic bodies, three movements and the dazzling possibilities. Partner acrobatic trio Knot on Hands creates work from pure physical research, creating and recreating their movement material. And then there are those gems, a principle of a movement bursting with potential.
Meander
Less control and more space to unfold. In the acrobatic performance Meander, six circus and dance makers weave a visual carpet. They slide and climb over and under each other, soar into the heights or intertwine into one body. In this continuum of movement and rhythm, they highlight their mutual trust despite the frictions and fractures between each other.
